Sound Light Designs is proud to welcome two of the most celebrated names in high-fidelity audio to our Santa Fe showroom: McIntosh and Sonus faber. One is American through and through; the other is unmistakably Italian. Together, they make music feel the way it was meant to.
McIntosh has been building amplifiers in Binghamton, New York since 1949, and its glowing blue meters are recognized by music lovers around the world. McIntosh equipment has also earned its place in music history, powering the stage at Woodstock in 1969 and the Grateful Dead's legendary "Wall of Sound."
Founded in 1983 by Franco Serblin in Italy's Veneto region, Sonus faber builds loudspeakers the way a luthier builds a violin, with natural wood, fine leather and metal. Its signature lute-shaped cabinets are as beautiful to look at as they are to listen to.
McIntosh MA352 Integrated Amplifier. The glowing heart of the system. Vacuum tubes handle the delicate first stage of the signal, while a solid-state output stage delivers 200 watts per channel. It is two great audio traditions in one chassis, with a pair of iconic blue meters moving along with the music.
McIntosh DS200 Streaming DAC. Your entire music library, beautifully decoded. Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect are built in, along with Apple AirPlay, Google Cast and Bluetooth, so you can keep using the apps you already know. A next-generation, quad-balanced 32-bit DAC turns those streams into rich, natural sound.
McIntosh MI128 Multi-Channel Amplifier. The quiet workhorse behind whole-home sound. Eight channels deliver 120 watts each, and its efficient design runs without cooling fans, so it can tuck neatly into an equipment rack and send music to every room of the house.
Sonus faber Sonetto II G2 in Wenge. A compact two-way bookshelf speaker in Sonus faber's signature lute shape, finished in deep, dark Wenge wood with leather accents. It fills a room with warm, lifelike sound and surprisingly powerful bass for its size.
Sonus faber PC-683 Round In-Ceiling Speaker. Music everywhere, with the speakers out of sight. This three-way speaker from the Palladio collection hides behind an edgeless, magnetic grille that can be painted to match your ceiling, and its leather details are borrowed from Sonus faber's Olympica Nova collection.
Words only go so far. Stop by our showroom at 627 West Alameda Street, have a seat, and play a song you know by heart. You may feel like you're hearing it for the first time.
